1. Shirts and undershirts
When wearing a shirt, especially in lighter shades, undershirts are an absolute no-go! This comfortable and convenient garment, known as a "maglia della salute" (health shirt) for this reason, is totally OUT.
2. Synthetic materials
It goes without saying, but it's important to emphasize, you cannot dress solely in polyester; sooner or later, our skin will present the bill, and it will be hefty!
3. Wrong size
A mistake made by both women and men. Choose the right size; avoid sizes that are too tight for your body, but also be careful with larger ones.
4. Short-sleeved shirt and tie
Even if it means suffering in the heat, a tie can be worn exclusively with long-sleeved shirts.
5. Logomania
It's perfectly fine to wear designer clothes, especially if it's a choice dictated by quality, but showing off brand names to the whole world is absolutely unchic.
6. Overly flashy office looks
Avoid wearing overly low-cut tops, bright or excessively high shoes to the office; as always, no excesses, especially when performing your duties.
7. Pay attention to pairings
There's no manual to follow; simply choose seasonal trend colors and, above all, avoid overly garish colors that are impossible to match. Avoid pairings that are now out of style. A good example is: in the past, blue and black were not colors to be combined; today, the trend has completely changed.
8. Avoid plaid trousers with striped shirts
The combination of two different patterns between shirt and trousers is terrible to look at. A tip: if you wear a shirt with a micro-pattern or a checkered theme, choose solid-colored trousers, and vice versa.
9. Mind your shoes and socks
Avoid overly shiny shoes unless it's a very important event, but pay special attention to your socks. Nowadays, you still sometimes encounter someone wearing white socks; avoid this item of clothing, especially in elegant outfits.
10. Choose the right accessories
Attention to detail makes all the difference, so you can't go wrong, you have to wear the right ones! If you're not a rock star, avoid going around with three rings, seven bracelets, and four necklaces; the same goes for studs and spikes. Use few accessories, perhaps limiting yourself to one ring, a watch, and a bracelet, but don't give up your style.
